- In the Daily Hai Nisai Stakes, he won his first grade race.
- In the Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes, he was 2nd favorite.
He took the lead at the beginning of the home stretch.

Gran Alegria, the most favorite by far, finished in 3rd place. - He won all four races as a two-year-old.

Gran Alegria crossed-run and dropped to 5th place. - His owner, Riichi Kondo, better known by his horse name Admire, died on November 17, 2019.
- In the Hong Kong Mile (2019), he was 5th favorite.
Other Japanese horses that ran with him were Indy Champ, Normcore and Persian Knight.
The previous year’s Hong Kong champion, Beauty Generation, also ran in the race.
Admire Mars took the lead 100m before the finish line and won.
His trainer, Yasuo Tomomichi, had come to the racetrack wearing a suit that his owner was planning to wear to Hong Kong.
His connections surrounded the photo of his owner’s remains, tears in their eyes, rejoicing in his victory and mourning the death of his owner.
It was the last G1 victory under the name of Riichi Kondo. - After that, all the horses owned by Riichi Kondo, including Admire Mars, were transferred to Junko Kondo.
