  • In the Mainichi Hai, he was the 1st favorite.
He hit the inside rail in the home stretch, but he didn’t flinch probably because of his huge size.
He won his first grade race.
  • In the Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby), he was the 2nd favorite.
He got off to a slow start, and took a while to break away from the pack of horses in the home stretch.
He lost to Wagnerian and finished 5th.
  • In the Kikuka Sho, he was the 1st favorite.
He lost to Fierement and finished 4th.
  • In the Arima Kinen (2018), he was the 3rd favorite.
He made a move at the beginning of the final corner and passed Kiseki in the last 100 meters to take the lead.
He won by a neck over 2nd place finisher, Rey de Oro.
It was his first G1 win.
With this victory, he won the JRA Award for Best Three-Year-Old Colt.
  • In the Osaka Hai (2019), he was the 1st favorite, but finished 6th.
  • He ran in the Sapporo Kinen at Sapporo Racecourse, which is a Western-style turf course, with an eye on running for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
He won the race despite the fact that there were also strong contenders like Fierement, Wagnerian, and Persian Knight in the race.
  • He then ran in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
He was expected to do well in Europe because he is a Harbinger colt, but he finished 11th out of 12 horses.
  • He retired in January 2022.
He could not become a stallion.
He is the first colt who won the Arima Kinen and fail to become a stallion since Ten Point, who died while still in active, which means he is practically the first ever.
Of course there may be various reasons, but I personally think it is wrong to choose not to turn a horse that has won two G3 races, two G2 races, and the Arima Kinen into a stallion.
Persian Knight, who retired at the same time as him and was also by Harbinger, also failed to become a stallion.
