  • In the Tulip Sho, she had her first showdown with the two-year-old queen, Vodka.
Her jockey Katsumi Ando deliberately delayed her movement to check up Vodka’s finishing kick.
After all, she lost to Vodka by neck.
The gap between her and the third-place horse was six lengths.
This race impressed horse racing enthusiasts with how outstanding Daiwa Scarlet and Vodka are among fillies born in the same year.
  • In the Oka Sho, the first classic race, she was 3rd favorite.
Her jockey made a movement early.

Vodka could not catch up with her.
    She won by 1+1/2 lengths.
  • After the Oka Sho, she was going to go to Oaks but canceled because of a cold.
Vodka went out to the Derby and won as filly for the first time in 64 years.
  • In the Shuka Sho, the last classic race, she won just like the Oka Sho.
    Vodka finished in 3rd place.
  • She won the Queen Elizabeth II Cup by making a pace from the beggining to the end.
Vodka was also planning to run but canceled on the day.
  • In the Arima Kinen (2007), it was her first and last showdown with her brother Daiwa Major.
She ran as usual but lost to Matsurida Gogh and finished in 2nd place.
    (3rd: Daiwa Major, 11th: Vodka)
  • She won the JRA Award for Best Three-Year-Old Filly (2007) and the Best Horse By Home-bred Sire (2007).
The award of Best Horse By Home-bred Sire was discontinued after this year, so she was the last one to win.
(Vodka won the JRA Special Award in this year.)
  • In the Tenno Sho (Autumn), she and Vodka finished side by side.
After 15 minutes of photo judging, she lost by 2cm.

  • In the Arima Kinen (2008), she made a pace.
Some horses tried to line up next to her, but no one could catch up with her.
It was the first time in 37 years that a filly or mare won the Arima Kinen.
  • She was first or second in every race she ran.

Her crops

  • She has no successful crops.
Until now she only gave birth to fillies. (0 colt, 9 fillies, Edited: 12/07/2020)
The mare-line of “Scarlet Family” will continue in the future.
