In 2006 (age 2)

  • He made his debut as a NAR horse.
  • He won the Zennippon Nisai Yushun by 2 lengths.
    It was his first G1 win.
    His trainer, Masayuki Kawashima, said after the race, “I’d like to challenge turf races in JRA.

In 2007 (age 3)

  • He ran two turf races with no good results.
    After this, he ran only dirt races.
  • In the Japan Dirt Derby, he was 3rd favorite.
    He won by 2+1/2 lengths.
    He proved that he was the strongest dirt horse of his age.
  • But he lost to Vermilion three times that year.

In 2012 (age 8)

  • He retired without a win.
    His retirement ceremony was held jointly with that of Bonneville Record.

    He has finished second 14 times, including 11 times in G1 races.
  • He’s earned more money than any other horse in NAR.
  • He is the only horse to win NAR Horse of the Year four times.

  • His fifth dam, Margarethen, is a world-famous mare.
    Margarethen’s descendants include such as Triptych and Generous.
  • As a stallion, he’s produced a handful of successful foals in NAR, but none of them are big names.
