  • JRA has introduced a grading system.
This is not an international grade as it is JRA’s original rating.
This site does not distinguish between international and Japanese domestic grades.
There were very few international grade races until 2007, when Japan was promoted to a Part 1 country by ICSC.
  • Yasuda Kinen was a handicap race, but it was changed to a fixed-weight race.
  • Tenno Sho (Autumn) was shortened from 3200m to 2000m.
  • Mile Championship was newly established.
  • Japan Racing Association Hall of Fame was established.

  • Symboli Rudolf became an undefeated Triple Crown horse.
