  • In 1989 (age 2), he won two low category races.

    It was his first grade race win.
    After the race he couldn’t win.
    His connections decided to make him run in the steeplechase-race.
  • In the Shogai Yonsai Ijou Mishori , his debut race of steeplechase, he won by 6 lengths.
    But he finished in 2nd place in his second steeplechase-race.
    He wasn’t very good at jumping and his body was covered in scratches after the race.

    Mejiro Palmer finished in 1st place with cheers like screaming.
  • He won the JRA Award for Best Older Male Horse (1992) and Best Horse By Home-bred Sire (1992).
  • He is the only horse who won a flat-G1-race after running in a hurdle race.
