- In the Elfin Stakes, it was her first race of JRA.
She was 1st favorite, partly because she is a Oguri Cap’s sister and her jockey was Yutaka Take.
A lot of people were hoping for a second Oguri Cap, but she finished dead last. - In the Tulip Sho, it was a trial-race for Oka Sho.
Her jockey has been changed to Seiki Tabara.
She was 2nd favorite.
She lost to Agnes Parade and finished 2nd. - Her older brother, Oguri Cap, was not registered for the classic races and therefore could not run in the classic races.
(That’s what led to the additional registration rules.)
In her case, she’d registered for the classic races, so she could run in the classic races that her brother couldn’t. - In the Oka Sho, the first classic race, she was 3rd favorite.
Her jockey was once again Yutaka Take.
She took the lead just before the finish-line.
It was her first G1 win.
When she was doing her winning run, the crowd shouted “Oguri” even though the order of finish had not yet been determined. - She didn’t do so well after that.
After her retirement
- She then went on to become a broodmare.
Her offspring have not been very successful, but a few of them have done well. - She died in 2015.
She was later selected as a Special Recognition Horse for NAR Grand Prix.
