In the Takamatsunomiya Kinen (2001), he was 1st favorite.
He passed other horses including Black Hawk in the home stretch.
He won the race by 1/2 lengths.
It was his first G1 win.
In the Sprinters Stakes (2001), he was 4th favorite.
Mejiro Darling was a front runner and made a fast pace.
Trot Star seemed to have no path in the home stretch.
But he overtook the other horses from the inside.
He won by a neck.
He broke the record.
He won the JRA Award for Best Sprinter or Miler (2001).
However he retired without any further good results.
He did not have a good result as a stallion
He also went to Korea, but the demand for him was almost non-existent.

Episode

His dam, Carmancita, was originally going to be mated with Symboli Rudolf.
But she got out of control at the time of mating.
Damister, who was famous as a “mating technician”, was chosen instead as her partner.
